Toastmasters International invests considerable effort every year to ensure that all Toastmasters clubs are of substantial quality in terms of educational and leadership performance. The Distinguished Club Program (DCP) is a goal-oriented action plan framework that Toastmasters International uses to recognise clubs that are successful in achieving those goals.
The 10 goals that the Eden Epsom sets out to achieve each year are:
- Two CCs (Competent Communicators)
- Two more CCs
- One AC-B, AC-S, or AC-G (Advanced Communicator Bronze, Silver or Gold)
- One more AC-B, AC-S, or AC-G
- One CL, AL, or DTM (Competent Leader, Advanced Leader, Distinguished Toastmaster)
- One more CL, AL, or DTM
- Four new members
- Four more new members
- Minimum four officers trained each training period
- Administrative functions completed on time.
On achieving these goals, the Club receives the following recognition:
| GOAL |
RECOGNITION |
| Achieve any five of 10 goals |
Distinguished Club |
| Achieve any seven of 10 goals |
Select Distinguished Club |
| Achieve any nine of 10 goals |
President's Distinguished Club |
How does this benefit you as an individual? The clubs that achieve higher numbers of DCP goals generally:
- • Provide the best social and learning experience for members
- • Give particular emphasis to educational and leadership achievements of the members
- • Maintain a high quality of communicational and leadership standard.
- • Are more fun to be in!
Eden-Epsom Toastmasters has always striven to maintain a high achievement rate in the DCP. Read more about our club here. When the page loads, enter 4748 in the box, and click on 'Generate Report'.
